Studio D'Artisan - Stitched Sashiko Trousers Slim Tapered - Indigo
We've seen a ton of fabrics made in the Sashiko "style" at this point, but this is the first we've seen with a dobby double weave. This style of weaving, once washed, gives this swollen-like appearance that gives the fabric a 3-dimensional feel, unlike all other sashiko we've seen. These are built with super soft cotton and a heavy rinse/wash that makes them comfy from the start. They've also used an oversize Tagua nut button and slanted pockets for that true trouser feel. This is for those guys who need something a little different in their pants lineup. They can easily be used in a more professional manner without having to sacrifice texture and character.

Fit Notes: These guys are small like almost all Studio bottoms. Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size 34 this round. He typically wears a 32 from most brands and sizes up to a 33 often to get the fit he wants in the leg. In order to get the best fit, he needed to go up twice. They're super soft with a decent rise and a moderate taper through the leg which makes them an easy fit for anyone who likes a taper. Tommy is 5'10," 180lbs with a 33-34" waist.
